Product description
The EDS150/151 insulation fault locator is used in conjunction with the ISOMETER® IRDH575 or the PGH locating current injector to locate insulation faults in unearthed power supplies (IT systems). For this purpose, they use integrated measuring current transformers to record the locating current signals generated by the ISOMETER® IRDH575 or the locating current generator PGH and evaluate them accordingly. Six measuring current transformers are integrated in an EDS150/151, through which all current-carrying cables of an outgoing circuit can be routed. The response time for an alarm message including a message on a corresponding display device (e.g. MK2430/MK800) is max. 8 s.
A total of up to 88 EDS150/151s can be connected via an RS485 interface (BMS protocol), allowing up to 528 outgoing circuits to be monitored. Activities on the BMS bus are indicated by a signal LED.
