The CMS460 system consists of one or more CMS460-D load current evaluation devices, which can detect and evaluate load currents in earthed and unearthed power supplies via the associated measuring current transformers. The maximum voltage of the monitored network depends on the rated insulation voltage of the measuring current transformers used in busbar systems or the cables or lines used.

The W... (closed), WR... (rectangular), WS... (divisible) and WF... (flexible) series measuring current transformers are used for AC and pulse currents. The various measuring current transformers can be connected to the measuring channels of the evaluation units in any combination. Each CMS460-D has 12 measuring channels. A total of up to 90 load current evaluation devices can be connected via BMS bus (RS-485 interface with BMS protocol) and thus up to 1080 measuring channels (outgoing circuits) can be monitored.

The frequency response can be set accordingly for use in fire and system protection. The measured currents can be analyzed for harmonics.
