The Rogowski coil is used for current measurement and is primarily intended for retrofitting in existing systems - either on busbars or large cable cross-sections. It supplies an output voltage proportional to the measured current (e.g. 1mV/A). They are also ideal for installation in hard-to-reach places or where space is limited.
