With the LINETRAXX® RCMS150 series
In most cases, insulation faults in TN systems lead to the electrical system being switched off. To prevent this, it is important to detect deteriorating measured values or faults quickly. With all-current sensitive Residual current monitoring devices, this is possible right down to the final circuit. For this reason, the solution is particularly suitable for systems that have to be operated with high must be operated with high availability.

The six-channel residual current monitoring devices RCMS150... are designed for measuring DC and AC residual currents in earthed power supplies. These can be caused by insulation faults on loads. Residual currents up to a level of = 500 mA in a frequency range of DC...2 kHz can be measured.

They are suitable for applications with a load current of up to 32 A and are therefore particularly suitable for monitoring final circuits. Two separately adjustable response values allow a distinction to be made between pre-warning and alarm.


LINETRAXX® devices have an RS-485 interface with either BMS protocol or Modbus RTU. Measured and alarm values are transmitted via this interface and parameterization is also possible.


Individual parameterization must always be adapted to the system and operating conditions on site. This is the only way to meet the requirements of the standards.

Application

Our RCMS150 series is suitable for measuring direct and alternating currents up to = 500 mA in a frequency range of DC 0...2 kHz. The monitored circuit is rated with a voltage of 300 V and a load current of 32 A. The device can be used up to 2000 m above sea level.
