EW WALD AG supplies electricity to almost 10,000 inhabitants in the municipality of Wald in the Zurich Oberland and has over 6,500 metering points. A comprehensive range of services is covered under the mission of holistic energy supply. In addition to the classic energy supply, this includes public lighting in and around Wald, the maintenance, testing and expansion of all electrical and telecommunications installations as well as a 24-hour customer service. An efficient, safe and economical supply of electrical energy can only be guaranteed thanks to careful planning and targeted investment in a distribution network with high quality standards.
The electricity company is responsible for the supply and trading of electricity, the distribution of electricity and even complex installations. In addition to repair work, specialist advice and planning, the electricity company also carries out installations in the field of high- and low-current systems. Efficient and well-maintained distribution grids are extremely important in order to guarantee a secure supply of electricity. For this reason, EW WALD AG operates its own grid department. It ensures the expansion of the grids and maintains the distribution systems with targeted preventive measures. In addition to these main tasks, the desire of society and politicians for an energy future without nuclear power is of great importance to the electricity company in Wald. Its corresponding products are the ecco, prima and supra ranges: green electricity - completely without nuclear power.
The electricity utility is an independent company with the task of ensuring the region's energy supply. To fulfill this task, only the use of universal measuring devices in combination with GridVis® software came into question.
