The ISOSCAN EDS44x insulation fault locators are used in conjunction with the ISOMETER® iso685-D-P or the locating current injector PGH to locate insulation faults in unearthed power supplies (IT systems).
For this purpose, they use measuring current transformers to record the locating current signals generated by the iso685-D-P or IRDH575 insulation monitoring device or the PGH locating current generator and evaluate them accordingly. Up to 12 measuring current transformers can be connected to one EDS44x. A total of up to 21 insulation fault locators can be connected via an RS-485 interface (BS bus protocol), allowing up to 252 outgoing circuits to be monitored.
