The Gälbe - Adelboden AG light and waterworks

Charging stations for electric vehicles

Licht- und Wasserwerk Adelboden AG (LWA), together with its subsidiaries Adelwasser AG (water supply), Adelcom AG (communications network), Adelheiz AG (district heating) and AdelCloud IT AG (IT operating infrastructure), is known throughout Adelboden as "die Gälbe".

Together, the companies bring excitement to the whole area. LWA AG ensures a constant supply of electricity through regular inspections, maintenance work, expansions and renewals. In addition, around 20% of its electricity requirements are already produced by its own environmentally certified solar and hydroelectric power plants. Adelboden sets an equally high standard for its drinking water supply. The four spring areas are subject to regular quality controls. Heating with local wood rounds off this environmentally conscious and modern approach. The principles of LWA AG are environmentally friendly and economical quality and safety in all areas of business. This includes the use, promotion and safeguarding of local resources. The company's actions make it a role model in the region.

Because of this environmental awareness, LWA set itself the goal of offering everyone in the village the opportunity to charge hybrid and electric vehicles. The result: today, Adelboden's residents, guests and tourists benefit from state-of-the-art, highly efficient charging points at the most frequented locations throughout the village.

Our solution

After an on-site visit and a detailed analysis of the requirements and conditions, we worked with LWA AG to determine which charging solutions were most suitable. A robust and stable housing, a high level of safety for the user, short charging times and state-of-the-art communication modules and interfaces in line with international standards were important. Based on these requirements, our LS4 charging station was used in Adelboden. This charging station was specially designed for use in public and semi-public parking lots. Its advantages include two type 2 charging sockets with an output of up to 2 x 22 kW, a robust and stable aluminum housing with a 360° all-round LED charging status display, state-of-the-art communication modules, interfaces according to international standards and the latest OCPP protocol. With the simple and easy connection to a backend system, the Adelboden charging stations are linked to communities and ready for monitoring and billing solutions.

Electric vehicle owners can now start their journey to Adelboden without any worries.
