Developed by surgeons for surgeons
When treating patients, only the best is good enough. That's why surgeons and hospital teams expect high quality lighting exactly where they need it.
The award-winning Merivaara Q-Flow™ LED operating theater lights are specially designed to optimally illuminate the surgical field and increase efficiency in the operating theater. They reduce staff fatigue, minimize heat generation and lower energy consumption. With an illuminance of up to 160,000 lux, excellent depth illumination and various color temperature options, they offer surgeons first-class visibility and color rendering. Their design also reduces the airflow over the operating table , thereby lowering the risk of infection.
In operating theaters, intensive care units and general wards, nurses and doctors nowadays have to deal with a wide range of devices and controls. This variety can quickly become confusing, especially in the event of an electrical fault. The COMTRAXX® CP9xx alarm indicator and control panel enables staff to keep an eye on and control all devices, including the Q-Flow operating light.
Why Optec? We offer everything from a single source: operating theater lights, signaling and control panels as well as the safe power supply. We are your comprehensive partner for all your medical and hospital technology needs. From planning and evaluation to commissioning, service and maintenance, we focus on your wishes and needs and take them into account at every stage of the project.
Q-Flow - the operating light
Infectious diseases increase morbidity, mortality and length of hospital stay and drive up healthcare costs. The prevalence of hospital infections in Europe is around 7.1%. One cause of contamination is the uncontrolled flow of air in operating theaters. The innovative, open design significantly reduces the risk of infection thanks to an air turbulence of only 15.9% The Q-Flow™ series have been optimized for low-germ airflow in the operating theatre and are far below the DIN standard of 37.5% for the Q-Flow™6 series.
Perfect color reproduction of the fabrics
Low risk of infection
Comfortable working conditions
Dynamic obstacle compensation (DOC™) reduces the need to reposition the luminaire. This significantly improves working conditions for staff.
- Shadow-free illumination in the operating area ensures optimum working conditions under all circumstances
- Automatically dims individual concealed LEDs while the remaining LEDs compensate for them Also reduces heat build-up above the heads of the operating team.
- The Q-Flow automatically restores the original lighting conditions
Clear operation
The patented Intueri™ system allows the surgeon to adjust the brightness and light field size from the sterile handle. This eliminates the need to look up at the controls.
Full control of the Q-Flow™ lamp is also possible via the touch panel, the optional Merimote™ remote control or an existing control panel (CP).
Ergonomic camera solutions
The camera is integrated in the middle of the housing, providing optimally centered images and a larger working area.
The rotation and zoom of the camera can be easily controlled via the touch panel or the optional remote control.
Thanks to the wireless technology, the suspension arms can be rotated 360 degrees so that the surgeon can focus the camera at the optimum viewing angle.
